Researchers from the Chair participate in the international workshop focused on computation applied to CERN's LHCb experiment

Last week, the UDC held an international workshop focused on computational techniques applied to the LHCb (Large Hadron Collider beauty) experiment, currently being carried out at CERN.

The event gathered 50 scientists from various countries, including 15 computational researchers from CERN. It covered key topics such as HPC with GPUs, physics simulation processes, and the use of AI for data processing -subjects considered critical for the success of the LHCb experiment- . These areas require substantial computational power to analyze the vast amounts of data generated in research on subatomic particles.

Among the lecturers at this event, our colleagues from the research team at the UDC and INDITEX Chair of AI in Green Algorithms, Susana Ladra and Verónica Bolón shared their expertise on the latest trends in applied computation.
