Last Friday 7 March, we were pleased to host Coral Calero, professor of Languages and Information Systems in the ESI of the UCLM. Professor Calero is also member of the Spanish Commitee for Ethics in Research, depending of the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
It has been a fantastic journey through research in Green IT, a field in which Coral has been one of the pioneers. There was an opportunity to thresh the concepts of hashtagGreen hashtagSoftware, hashtagSustainable Software and Sustainable hashtagComputing, to understand the dimension of the impact of ICTs on hashtagenergy 3consumption, the need for its measurement and the mechanisms to carry it out through a reliable and precise process. There were also very graphic moments to illustrate our daily consumption, and its connection with the type of activity we carry out -for example- on social networks.
