The Director of the INDITEX-UDC Chair in Artificial Intelligence for Green Algorithms, Verónica Bolón Canedo, has just received the National Research Award 2024, ‘for her excellent work in multiple areas of machine learning, being outstanding her research for the promotion of the sustainability of artificial intelligence, with clear social application, using her feature selection algorithms for the diagnosis of diseases or the detection of spills in the ocean’.
