Amparo Alonso and Verónica Bolón, members of the Advisory Committee of the AESIA Think Tank

AESIA, the Spanish Agency for the Supervision of Artificial Intelligence, has launched its Ideas Lab, which, among other important functions, will develop several highly relevant areas of work during its first year, all linked to the deployment of Artificial Intelligence:

– Impact on the image and dignity of women
– AI-related disinformation
– Creation of safe digital environments for children
– Certainty in managing the employment transition

And very welcome news for us is the appointment of Amparo Alonso and Verónica Bolón Canedo, researchers from the INDITEX UDC Chair in AI for Green Algorithms and the CITIC ICT Research Centre – University of A Coruña, as members of the Advisory Committee that will support the work of the Ideas Lab.

We believe that this appointment represents significant recognition of the University of A Coruña’s longstanding contribution to research in Artificial Intelligence and its applications.
