Conference ‘Towards simplicity in the design and control of soft robots’, with Concha Monje

On Friday, 14 November, Concha Monje spoke to us about her research in the field of soft robotics.

This was part of the series of lectures entitled ‘Green Convergence: AI for a sustainable future’, organised by the INDITEX UDC Chair of AI in Green Algorithms.

Professor Monje, from UCIIIM, discussed recent advances in her field of work, in the search for greater elasticity and deformability of elements, working with such relevant characteristics as speed, oscillation, robustness and the controls necessary to achieve adequate stabilisation and performance.

The development of this type of application in robotics opens the door to a huge number of uses that would be more complex for more robust models.
