Convergencia verde para un futuro sostenible

The Lecture Series of the INDITEX-UDC Chair in Artificial Intelligence for Green Algorithms has been inaugurated with the lecture of the consultant and project designer Alba Meijide, entitled ‘Responsible Innovation’.

In it, the speaker discussed how artificial intelligence can be a key tool to move towards a sustainable future. Using two practical examples, she explained how the efficient design of AI systems can combine sustainability and efficiency in the use of available resources.

Among the conclusions, he highlighted that generative AI represents a challenge due to its high computational demands, but also an opportunity if the right technical decisions are made in the design of the systems. He stressed the importance of evaluating and choosing efficient AI models, regardless of their application, to ensure sustainability and maximise positive impact.

This conference is part of the activity organised by the Inditex-UDC Chair of AI in Green Algorithms, which aims to promote research, innovation and knowledge transfer in the field of artificial intelligence and green algorithms in order to contribute to sustainable development and environmental protection.
